Warwick Bands Discount Card Program

Good afternoon band families,
A while back I mentioned we would be starting a fundraiser for the bands for next year as we have a full music department trip at the high school next year potentially traveling to Disney in Florida and a Music in the Parks Festival for the middle school band. This is in effort to be forward thinking and provide our students to establish student accounts through the WBP as many do not have one yet and establish a base of funds for future trips in the music department.

I have mentioned the fundraiser to the students and provided some background information in the past week but now I want to also include all of us in the loop. I will keep this as short and sweet as I can as much of the information is in the attached packet.
1.) The bands are selling discount cards (see attached picture). Cards cost $20 and are custom printed with our new band logo on the front. On the back is a short list of some local business that accept the card and offer discounts.

2.) The card functions like a credit card and can be used until expiration in May 2017.

3.) The card is linked to over 300,000 businesses nationwide, not just businesses in Lititz and the surrounding Lancaster County area.

4.) Money raised from this fundraiser will be deposited into individual student accounts for music expenses and trips. This money is used at the student’s/parents’ discretion within the music department.

5.) Attached is an information packet outlining the entire fundraiser. Students will be receiving this packet and a sales packet Thursday during band. INDEPENDENT STUDY STUDENTS AT THE HS should plan to see Mr. Wolfe either before or after school Thursday.

6.) Check our www.xtramandiscounts.com to see all the businesses and discounts offered.

7.) We have the potential to raise over $6,000 for the students and the Warwick Band Parents Organization through this fundraiser. If each student sells just 4 cards we will only have 20 cards left to sell out of 500!
Monday May 2nd in the HS band room at 7:30 we will hold our monthly band parents meeting. We will also go over all information for the fundraiser. While it is not required it is strongly encouraged that you attend if you have any questions about this fundraiser and anything else band related as we near the end of the school year.
