LLMEA HIGH SCHOOL COUNTY BAND NORTH

The LLMEA (Lancaster-Lebanon Music Educator’s Association) County Band North is made up of the best student musicians from all of Lancaster and Lebanon county high schools.  Students are placed in the ensemble based on their auditions at District 7 band/orchestra and at their director’s discretion.

There are two bands that students may participate in.  A Symphonic Band, which is the larger of the two bands, and a Wind Ensemble.  A Wind Ensemble is a smaller but more advanced group. The size of the ensemble is based on the number of parts that a composer puts in the score.  For instance, if a composer writes a piece of music and when it is sold there are 6 total individual pieces of trumpet music, then the ensemble uses 6 trumpets.  In many cases there is one person per part.

PMEA DISTRICT 7 BAND
