Due to the new “Linked-in” freshman orientation this year the band camp schedule for next Wednesday, August 21, must be changed. This is also the same day as the school and band photos.
Below is the schedule for Wednesday, August 21
12:00 Report to band room to change into uniform
12:15 Band photos
1:15 School photo
2:00 Rehearsal (tentative start based on pictures)
5:00 Dinner break (students may pack, have food brought in, or walk in to town to get something to eat provided they are back in time to start rehearsal at 6:00)
6:00 Rehearsal
9:00 Dismissed
I know this is different than in years past but administration believes
this new style of freshman orientation will greatly enhance the transition for students moving from the Middle School to the High School. Because freshman students are not permitted to miss this orientation and many other students in the band are “Link crew members” that assist or serve as camp counselors during the orientation, the decision was made to cancel the morning block of rehearsal and move to this schedule.
This will be a longer day than usual but it is the next to last full day
of band camp.
